However, Afghanistan began their tournament impressively by defeating Uganda with a margin of 125 runs. They went on to secure three straight victories until experiencing a significant defeat of 104 runs against West Indies in their most recent encounter of the tournament.

Australia and Bangladesh are the remaining two teams in Group 1 of the Super 8. They will compete against each other in Antigua.
