In pursuit of Afghanistan’s initial target of 116 runs, adjusted to 114 runs in 19 overs owing to rain. Bangladesh’s batting lineup was dismissed for a total of 105 runs in the 18th over of the match held at the Arnos Vale Stadium in West Indies.

The Afghan bowlers performed admirably, securing their team’s place alongside India as the semi-finalists from Group 1, eliminating Australia from the competition.

Rishad Hossain stood up as the most successful bowler for Bangladesh, taking 3 wickets for 26 runs in four overs. He successfully dismissed the key batsmen Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Ibrahim Zadran, and Gulbadin Naib.

Gurbaz emerged as Afghanistan’s highest scorer, amassing 43 runs off 55 deliveries, including three boundaries and a six.
