The US Embassy in Islamabad posted images of Pakistan national team members meeting the envoy on its X — formerly Twitter — account.

The article said left-arm quick Shaheen Shah Afridi and all-rounder Shadab Khan delivered Ambassador Blome cricket tips using a customised ball. The players gave the envoy a signed cricket bat and shirt. Blome gave the squad an autographed softball bat and an embassy cricket ball.

Embassy staff enjoyed seeing Shaheen, Shadab, Imad Wasim, and others bowl and bat. The squad shared photos, selfies, and autographs at the embassy. The selectors are expected to confirm Pakistan’s tour of Ireland and England roster in the coming days, according to The News.

Team for three-match series against Ireland will be announced once selectors assess player fitness. Next, the cricket board will finalise a 15-man World Cup roster by May 25, as mandated by the ICC.

Players’ World Cup prospects will be tested in the T20I matches against Ireland and England. A brief training camp in Lahore is set to begin on May 3 before the team leaves for Ireland, the newspaper said.
